Hi! My name is Kathryn, but I go by Kat. I’m so excited that you’re considering me for your photography needs! I hope you can get to know a little bit about me.

I just moved back to East Tennessee because I got married to my wonderful husband, Adam, who happens to also be a photographer and took the picture of me on this page!
I was born and raised in Columbus, Indiana, and will continue to visit the midwest often.

I started taking pictures with my mom's 1980s Polaroid when I was four years old and just never stopped. After taking an analog photography class my sophomore year of college I fell in love with analog photography as well as digital.

I started my professional photography journey in 2018, and I’m now back at my alma mater as photography teacher-assistant along side my husband Adam for the 2024-25 school year.

Welcome!

I picked up a camera for the first time at the age of 4, so I now have 20 years of experience! Mostly kidding, but I have been honing this skill set since 2004 and professionally since 2018.

I spent three years at Milligan University studying photography and three years assistant teaching photography. During this time I learned about my equipment, editing, and the history of photography as an art and a science.

I love that something that started with me documenting my childhood has given me the opportunity to document others’ lives and milestones as we journey through life together!

Why should you hire me?
